help find what file was changed?

My website is www.handmade-scrunchies.com

It was installed and configured quite some time ago, at that time a web banner was added at the bottom of the page, and now I need to get rid of it and cant figure out where it is in the files. Can someone please suggest which file I can edit to get rid of the darned thing?

Looked and did not see any "banner" - but these are controlled not through files but in the admin > tools > banner manager

You should consider upgrading also

I found the code and removed it, which fixed the issue. I know I need to upgrade to the new version, unfortunately I am scared stiff to even attempt it. I spent days getting the site to work when first installed, and now 3 years later with changes too numerous to remember, Im scared to be down indefinitely due to an upgrade :)

No need if you install a second instance in another folder....like test or neew or?? with it's own DB.

You then work on it making it look as you want then when 150% satisfied you switch. This full process is covered on many posts and in the FAQ's.

Kobra's right -- that's what I did last time I upgraded. Just make copies to everything you currently have, including your database, and "practice" upgrading. Then you can get everything tweaked and ready to go.

It saved me a lot of grey hairs. *LOL*
