    Default totally lost

    I am in the process of moving my hoster to hostmonster. I created a file under public_html entitled shopping and uploaded all the zen cart files. When typing in the url to do the install, i am receiving these messages:

    ERROR: Admin configure.php not found. Suggest running install? Click here for installation
    Warning: require(includes/configure.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mooncave/public_html/shopping/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 74

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/configure.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mooncave/public_html/shopping/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 74

    When I clicked on "Click here for installation" i simply got the same two error messages. what am i doing wrong?????

    thanks!

    looks like you did not re configure your includes/configure.php or your admin/includes/configure.php
    On your new server you probably have different path to you files on the new server.
    opne the includes/configure.php file and search for 'DIR_FS_CATALOG'
    on that line you will see something that looks like
    PHP Code:
    define('DIR_FS_CATALOG''/home/bla/public_html/shopping/');
    take note about what it says in the second set of quotes. (in fact what you may want to do is copy it to another text file just so you dont have to memorize and have a place to copy it from)
    you want to replace every thing before the /shopping w/ /home/mooncave/public_html so that the line.
    In your text editor there should be a find function. search for the string that you put in to the clip board and repeat the process in bold every where you find in in both files.

    Well, if you uploaded ALL your files into the "shopping" folder, then there shouldn't be any problem. I would suggest looking through those files for the ones that it's telling you are missing, such as: includes/templates/template_default/common/html_header.php
    They sometimes get lost or corrupted in transfer.

    Just upload the includes/templates folder to your server.
    Must be using a bad FTP program. The ONLY one to trust with your files......to get them there, and not corrupt them........is WS-FTP, in my opinion. But I've had problems with a bunch of others corrupting files during transfer, or loosing then, and I don't think I've EVER had a problem with WS-FTP.
