    artbobo,

This is usually a server setting being too limited and not one you can adjust normally. Check with your host and ask them what their mysql timeout settings are

2006 MySQL server has gone away
    in:
[SELECT count(*) as count FROM subscribers WHERE email_address = '[email protected]']

I get this following error EVERY TIME someone tries to confirm their order and return from paypal to the store. This also means that orders doesn't register which is a huge problem for us and we have no explanation or an idea how to fix it. What could I do.. I didn't have this problem before.. it started with our new store and fresh install of the new zen.

What's different between your "working" site and the one that's not working right?
    What settings are different?
    What addons are installed?
Are they on the same host?
What has your hosting company said when you reported the problem to them?
What were the results of following the instructions in the FAQ on the topic? https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=388

Where did I suggest you needed to switch hosts?
