And make sure that this is not affecting you ...Currency Conversion Ratio
When auto-updating currencies, what "uplift" ratio should be used to calculate the exchange rate used by your store?
ie: the bank rate is obtained from the currency-exchange servers; how much extra do you want to charge in order to make up the difference between the bank rate and the consumer rate?
Default: 1.05
This will cause the published bank rate to be multiplied by 1.05 to set the currency rates in your store.
Also check the Localization ... Currencies ... and make sure all of the settings are correct for your currency ...

i look where you sayed and it says
which i tink is right as it is the only currency i have set.PHP Code:define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'GBP');
yet still it does not work
i have just noticed something when i creat the product i set the weight to 1.7dl however when i view it from the cousters view and click the item it adds 3dl so i say it wighs 4.7 and costs £4.70 postage why is it adding the extra 3dl's
in admin -> configuration -> shipping set your tare weight to 0

i want to do the same thing but also getting a problem.
set the tar weight to 0 and all the other things to 0:0 in th config shipping, with the max weight as 9999999999999999999999 as ill post anything as each item should pay for its self
then installed the per item weight,
