It's an add-on. Backup MYSQL Plugin is quick and easy to install.

    Good luck!

many thanks it backed up fine :)

there was a note on sll on the database backup tool it states..

    Database Backup Manager - MySQL
NOTE: You do not have SSL enabled. Any downloads you do from this page will not be encrypted. Doing backups and restores will be fine, but download/upload of files from/to the server presents a security risk.

I don't believe that's an issue. As it states, you should be fine for backups and restores, which is what you are probably trying to accomplish

    Hello
using zen-cart 1.3.7 and just moved a client site from my server to his server and I can not backups anymore, no more button.
Everything was fine before without using any add-on (it was already there)
Something got lost during the transfer of the site or the upload of the latest backup?
Do I have to add the add-on now?
    How come it happened?
    Very new in all this!!
    Thank you

I have the same problem - I transferred my site and now the backup button is missing! All I can do is restore/delete my last backup.

    Did you find a solution?

According to DrByte your host may have disallowed the exec() function which will hide the button (as you can't do the action). Apparently PHPCGI can be used to enable the exec() function.
