Saved cart items from previous session

We do aim to please ...

I have tried both, "1" and "2" , but I do not get any message, and it does not take me in the shopping cart (when I left items in).
Do I have to set something else as well? I have 1.3.8

Seems to work just fine for me.

1. go to site: http://store.annron.com/
2. add 10 items to the cart (to get over the $50 min you've set before checkout is allowed)
3. start checkout
4. create an account
5. during first stage of checkout, logoff
6. add another 10 items (different or same, doesn't matter) to the cart, to get over $50 min
7. click Checkout
8. login
9. the shopping cart page shows, with a notice at the top saying "NOTICE: For your convenience, your current shopping cart has been combined with your shopping cart from your last visit. Please review your shopping cart before checking out."

So ... I'm not sure why you think it's not working ...

How far in the checkout do you have to get??

and when I logged in again, I stayed in the "home page: and I don't see any notice. Where should the notice be??

I should have mentioned that I logged in with an account (not as a guest), than aborted the checkout....

I'm not sure what you're doing differently.

Last time I was on your site (45 min ago), I had left 10 items in my cart, without doing a checkout.
So, I just came back. I added 5 new items to the cart.
Then I clicked the Login button, (I had used the Checkout button before), and it logged me in and immediately took me to the shopping cart, showing me the "cart has been combined" notice, as expected.


You have to have something "new" in your cart before logging in ... or else the message won't show, because then it's pointless.

Last time I was on your site (45 min ago), I had left 10 items in my cart, without doing a checkout.
So, I just came back. I added 5 new items to the cart.

You have to have something "new" in your cart before logging in ... or else the message won't show, because then it's pointless.

Why is it pointless? If I logged out before completing the checkout and come back in couple days, I would like to know that there is something in my cart before I start putting other items in......
I thought that was the whole point .... to see when I log in again that I left something in... and if I want to complete the purchase just check out or if I neeed more, to continue shopping.
