Google Checkout Installation Help! ZenCart!

Wow that was very easy to FTP over, drag and drop! Geez, now i feel like an uber noob after having a hard time with that.

I did FTP the files over however It is not apparant in my store, and it doesnt show up in Modules-> Payment.
Is there something else I have to do after I transfer the files over?

Ayabaloo,

Open the "INTALLATION" and "README" (text files) files inside the GCO folder, print them if possible and read the instructions, you are likely to use the option 1. You have to drop the files so that they overwrite some of the files in your server; in this way the google checkout method will show in your modules > payment screen.

There is a folder inside the GCO folders that is called "YOUR_TEMPLATE" (all the way inside the includes, templates); you have to drop the contents of this folder inside the template you are using (I just drop it in all the templates I have installed).

I am also new to Zen-cart, and learning with this, it took me a couple of tries before I could get the google checkout to work (so far only in the sandbox).

You should be working with the 1.4 version while google releases it, since the 1.3 version will be obsolete pretty soon.

I did so, and the message i get in the shopping cart is:

And it did overwrite teh files when i put them in the templates folder

Yay! Got it to work, now it shows in my modules!

Are there any appropriate settings i should use for it? Sandbox, live, etc.

You guys are awesome! BUT one last thing I promise!

After spending god knows how much time getting google checkout implemented I wanted to keep the option of using paypal Express checkout as well. Well...i did the new June17th patch or whatever and now google checkout doesnt show on my page. It shows in my modules, but not in my checkout.
Is there a way i can have both? or do i have to choose?

I think i just fixed it,

I FTP'ed over the google checkout tpl_shopping_cart_default and replaced it with the one from Paypal Express....

At the moment both payment options seem to work properly (Link to appropriate payment page) and both Icons (Google Checkout Button & paypal checkout Button) appear in the shopping cart section.

Hi, I am a new user. I just installed Zen Cart and googlecheckout module. Everyting is fine until I get into the admin area to modify the options for google checkout. When I click the 'edit' button to modify the parameters, it gave me the following message

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: zen_cfg_select_shipping() in /home/..../admin/modules.php(283) : eval()'d code on line 1

Could anyone kindly give me some hints? Thanks a lot!

Have you renamed your Admin folder? If so, you have to modify your /googlecheckout/gcheckout.php and put your new name in place of admin in the

require_once('admin/includes/configure.php');

statement.

What version of GCO are you installing?
