Direct order from category page.

The main page and category pages product links force you to first go to a details page before adding to cart or choosing quantities.

I can see how products with attributes could use this type of scenario.

Is there a module or other way (per category) to only have add to cart and a quantity field on the summary pages for selected categories instead of a detail button.

Here is a site that is doing this already.

They choose quantities for their chosen products and click "Add selected to cart"

How do we implement this please?

Configuration > Product Listing >
Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product)
Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location

This will affect all products which do not have attributes.

I set the options as listed below.

It had no effect. Perhaps this template sucks.



What part of the default template (filename, line numbers) controls this functionality. If I can see where on the default template maybe I can fix this silly template monster template.

/includes/modules/product_listing.php lines 107-149 is the stock price/add display.
$lc_button accumulates the button description/function, $products_link is the actual link to the product info page, and they are assembled in line 148.
