Default Attributes copied to all by mistake

My boss copied all the attributes to to the wrong categories. I have a backup of my shop from about a week back, but I am not keen on reverting back to that as I am going to loose orders/customers from the database. (Yes, I should have backed up more frequently) Is it possible to just import the tables that has to do with the attributes?

I am using an old 1.2.5-version

    Best regards,
    Acheem

Can you just copy the attributes back (or delete them if needed) from the products you want?

Yes, I can delete them, but I now have about 250 products with 300 attributes each. It's going to take a long time deleting them.

Edit: It is not possible to use the "Delete Matching Attribute from ALL Products where Option Name and Value ..."-function on most of the categories. It simply can't find anything to delete. Example error message: "Error: Nothing found to copy from: Klasse # 4 to: Class TEXT Category: 17"

In the bottom of the Option Names is the feature for:
Delete ALL Option Values to ONE Category of products for Option Name
Update ONE Category of products, when the product has at least ONE Option Value and Delete ALL Option Values in an Option Name
This allows you to pick 1 Category at a time and remove all attributes that are on it ...

But I cannot recall if that is in the ancient version that you are using ...

Or, you can go to each Category that is bad and set one product to the right attributes and copy those attributes to all products in 1 category and delete the old ones ... based on the premis that each Category is using the same attributes ...

Thanks, the option to delete all attributes on the chosen category was there. -Even in this ancient version ;-) So that actually gets rid of all the attributes for me.

And your premis that each Category uses the same attributes are very unfortunately wrong, hehe. But I think this is the kick in the ######## I need to stop using attributes and convert to separate products for a whole bunch of items. My last straw is the option of using phpMyAdmin to import the old attributes back where they belong, but I am not sure if this is even possible. The table products_attributes is surely involved, but there could easily be more. I dare not dive into that without guidance.
