Linkpoint Pay Module in Test mode complains about expiration date

Hi,
The only payment module I have selected is the linkpoint/youpay module, and I've tried it in both live mode and testing mode entering the 4111... et al, visa number for testing, and every time it reports this in a red box:

"The expiration date entered for the credit card is invalid. Please check the date and try again."


My understanding was that you could enter any exp date using the fake visa number.

Also, on a similar note, when using the testing numbers, 4111... etc, and granted I get past this expiration date problem, will the system actually attempt to push that number through to the linkpoint system and it should show up in the reports on my linkpoint account, is this right?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi again,
Sorry I jumped the gun. Was a VERY stupid oversight on my part. Since I was thinking that the exp didn't matter, which is true for the most part, it matters that the exp date is at least in the future.

I was leaving it at the default Jan 2007.
