3 sites start missing paypal orders at a same time

I am using one paypal account to accept payments from 3 of my sites.
All of the 3 sites are using zen-cart 1.3.7, and all of them don't have any paypal patch installed since I upgrade them to 1.3.7 like 1-3 months ago.

3 Sites has been working well for years.

While today suddenly, 3 sites started missing orders information at the same time.
I only installed and turned on Paypal IPN modul on all these sites to accept payments.

Now, I can recieve payments from paypal, but orders not showing up in admin area. And I am sure that I didn't do any changes to the zen-cart files or database around that time.

I am wondering if it's because that I didn't have paypal patch installed. But I am just confused that the patches has been released for a while and my sites were working quite well without these patches. And I don't think 3 sites should get problems at the same time if it's the patch problem.

So I am thinking that if it's paypal's problem. Seems paypal is upgrading its system these days.

Do you guys have any similar problems?
BTW, I am from China and operating sites to do oversea business.

go to paypal.com and make sure IPN and auto return are still turned on,
paypal thinks its funny to turn these off once in a while,

It's back to ok now.
Just another paypal system stuck time I think.


BTW, are those paypal module patches necessary?
And how much can paypal express check out module help?

The same thing has happened to me, but not just with Zencart but with OScommerce carts as well. Paypal accepts the order and the order is not recorded to the orders in the cart. As of yet, I haven't been able to find a solution.

All the settings in Paypal and the module are correct, it is driving me nuts.

Actually it was much simpler then that. Basically, I had the cart under a secure folder while I was finishing up, so the return receipt couldn't access the checkout success.

God why does it always have to be a retarded moment when something goes awry with me.

Though the Paypal issue did affect my OScommerce installation, Zen is working like a charm.

What is the cart folder, where is that folder located and what is it named? I don't see anyhing resembling "cart" in my folders. I would like to check the permissions status on it but don't know where to look.

I am having the same problem as noted above. I recently upgraded to 1.3.7 and now all of my PayPal IPN orders do not generate an invoice. I double checked the paypal status and all is as it should be there. I never had this problem before the upgrade.

By the way, I did two tests using my own credit card through the PayPal IPN and they worked fine. Perhaps that is because my IP address is allowed in since it is the same as my Admin log in?

If it is a permissions isue, what should the permissions be on this file?
/store/ipn_main_handler.php (currently 644)

OK. Thanks. I suspected that but wanted to make sure. It is currently set to 755 for that folder as noted above. I assume that means that my lost PayPal IPN transactions are not caused by the permission settings?*

So... to recap on my situation anyway:

PayPal settings are the way they shold be (checked and double checked)
*Folder and File permissions on the root folder and the ipn_main_handler.php file are correct

I am still getting lost PayPal IPNs......

Could it be an ssl directory problem? I do not have an ssl certificate intalled yet. Where do you check / change the SSL status / address in ZenCart?

ok,
lets start at the most obvious
make sure that your email address that you have set in the ZC module is the primary email address at www.paypal.com

and make sure that its case sensitive
also if you are still having issues try removing the meta_tags.php from your includes/languages/english/CUSTOM TEMPLATE/ folder
