bypass main product listing screen

At the moment, I'm really only selling one product, so I would like the main screen to go directly to this product listing, bypassing the usually main screen with all the listings, "Welcome Guest" etc.

I know this is possible, cuz I need it once before, but I just can't remember for the life of me how I did it!

I know you can bypass the home page to open in a Catagorie or product ID.
If that is what you seek go to

Configuration > Layout settings > Main Page - Opens with Category and set to what you want

You will also want to make sure that "Skip 1-prod categories" is enabled (in the same menu), so that you go straight to the product instead pf seeing its category first.
