I know I am going to feel like a real dufus for asking this, because it is probably something I am doing wrong.... but is anyone else getting the dreaded blank white website and error logs as follows:

[27-Oct-2016 16:20:42 America/New_York] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/xxxxxxxxxx/public_html/store/includes/functions/extra_functions/mailchimp.php on line 20

I am trying to update a site that currently has this mod installed... Am using the latest version in the downloads area on a 1.5.4 website.
The things I see different are:
includes/classes/MCAPI.class.php is removed
includes/functions/extra_functions/mailchimp_functions.php has been revised
includes/functions/extra_functions/mailchimp.php is a new file.

Appreciate any help anyone can give me!

Not sure what that means. Do I need to keep the "old" file there instead of putting up the one that is in the latest download?

To clarify..... I am using the file from the download area NOT the "old" file.

Compare the version of /includes/functions/extra_functions/mailchimp_functions.php on the server with a fresh copy from the plugin in the downloads section.

I compared it, they are different. So I used the one from the downloads section instead of the "old" one that was on the server.

That's what blows up the website.
