50% at the reservation, 50% before shipping

Hi,


I have a situation.

I have some fun products announced this summer.
I'd like to offer my customers the ability to hold one of this.

For this, i'd like them to pay an advance (50 %).

50% at the reservation, 50% when product's here.

If possible, i'd like this to be on an unique invoice.


Is there a builtin possible arrangement to do this ?
Is their an existing contribution ( didn't find... ) ?
Must I do it by myself ?

OK. go here, http://www.modhole.com/modhole/index.php (many thanks Nicholas) to get your hands on a module called payment_type_discount.
This will enable you to set a discount/fee for whatever payment method you choose. I used money order. I gave a discount of 50% and changed the wording to say deposit. I still needed to offer the option to pay in full so i cloned the moneyorder module. You might want to do this for as many options you need. I also cloned my credit card module to be able to offer the same terms there too. You may have to clone the payment_type_discount_module as well to work with what ever payment method you're offering.

Its not difficult to do, you can have this functioning on your store in no time at all.
For help on cloning, i cant remember where, but it is here in the forum somewhere, i think in the payments modules dept. Ajeh explained very nicely how to clone a payment module.

Hi,
Ive tried to download this but I when I click on download, it just comes up with some folders (includes, englush etc and a read me.txt and an install.txt). When I click on install.txt it just comes up with some words and thats it. How do I install this so I can use it on my website?
