Hi,

It gives me great pleasure to announce the completion and release of version 2.2.0 of Protx Form.

This new version complies with Protx's new URLs and adds support for the new Authenticate/Authorise Transaction Mode.

Unfortunately Protx's changeover has been royally messed up today but that makes little difference to the reasoning behind upgrading your site with this new module... put simply, you should just upgrade as this new version is a little bit nicer than previous versions.

We've added a few nice extra features to the module as well as updating it for Protx's new systems. The changelog is as follows:


[UPDATED] Module updated with URLs for Protx's new systems.
[UPDATED] Support for new test card numbers and AVS/CV2 test values added.
[ADDED] Support for new Authenticate Transaction Mode added.
[REMOVED] Support for old Pre-Authorisation Transaction Mode removed.
[ADDED] “Cards Accepted” sidebox added to allow dynamic display of accepted card types even before the checkout stage.
[UPDATED] A warning is now displayed when one of the test Transaction Modes is being used.
[BUGFIX] Single quote removed from the start of the order's description.
[UPDATED] Configuration settings re-ordered and grouped for easier configuration of the module.

Hi,

A new version of Protx Form has been released because of two problems found with the module.


The module no longer worked with orders of 1,000 and over due to a problem with Protx's new service.. any store which may have orders exceding 1,000 in value should upgrade immediately!

The module did not properly handle the "Authenticate" Transaction Mode.


If either of the above apply to you you should upgrade immediately!

Everyone else is encouraged to upgrade regardless... it should take less than 2 minutes to upgrade from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1!


We are very sorry about the Authenticate bug and must apologise on Protx's behalf for their "1,000 and over" bug!

Hi,

It is with great regret that I have to announce the temporary suspension of support for all our modules.

Following a scan yesterday, I was immediately admitted to hospital and will be undergoing neurosurgery shortly. I will not have internet access again until I have sufficiently recovered. (From past experience I know that the neurology recovery wards don't have wifi, sadly! :) ).

If everything goes well I should hopefully be up and about and back in contact, if even in a limited capacity, in just over a week or so.

This sequence of events was completely unexpected, everything has happened much quicker than I anticipated so please accept my apologies for not being able to make alternative support arrangements and any inconvenience this lack of support may cause (I'm currently the only tech guy at Ceon).

If you are having any trouble, please be sure to read the installation instructions, configuration instructions and FAQs in the module's documentation. In our experience the information there answers all questions which are not to do with specific problems/issues with a server.

If you have any absolutely urgent contact queries please use the contact form on the website. I'll do my best to get simple mobile phone-based access to e-mail later in the week so that I can respond to these e-mails. I can't give any guarantee that I will be able to do this though (or indeed be able see again well enough, within a week, to read e-mail on a mobile phone! ;) ).

Hi,

A new version of Protx Form has been made available for download.

Protx have changed their systems slightly recently and this has highlighted a problem in the module so all users must upgrade!

Upgrading is easy and, as always, full instructions are included in the download archive and on the website.


Here's the list of changes for this new version 2.4.0:


[BUGFIX] Protx's error handling methods seem to have changed and in doing so revealed a major problem with the error handling functionality of the module. This has been fixed now and messages are displayed as expected when Protx redirects back to the cart with an error.
[ADDED] Option to append model number to product's description in cart details sent to Protx added.
[ADDED] Module now automatically disables itself if a configuration problem is identified.
[UPDATED] Error handling improved by including checks for specific error codes in returned status detail.
[UPDATED] Documentation updated with details of the recommended 3D-Secure rule to be added in the VSP admin.
[UPDATED] Documentation updated with more information about what to do when module doesn't appear on the store catalog side.
