    Default cPath=

I've been experimenting with Google Base and Froogle Data Feeder without much success as Google Base accepts my upload but then deletes them all. They have not given any reason why, but then I don't expect them too.

My items are books so I expect Google Base does not like the attributes being supplied to it by Froogle Data Feeder.

So I decided to look at things more closely.

I see that when I display an item in my shop via the categories link the url will be something like (replace any # with a number):

    anydomain/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=#_#&products_id=#

and that Froogle Data Feeder generated urls are (replace any # with a number):

    anydomain/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=#&currency=GBP

No cPath? Either url appears to work fine, so what is cPath?

    ..........................

Additionally I note that adding &currency=whatever-valid-currency to the end of this type of url will alter, permanently, the currency being used.

    Can this be stopped?

Would deleting all unused currencies do it?

I've removed currency sideboxes as I don't want users to be able to change currency.

Before anyone asks I'm using Zen 1.3.7

    cPath is category path,
but in this case the product ID is there,
and what do you have set for your default currency

what do you have set for your default currency
I want GBP so I've set:

admin>configuration>my store>Switch To Default Language Currency = false

    and

    admin>configuration>localisation>GB Pound to be default

Actually I'm wrong about the permanent setting of currency using the url; if you restart the browser (MSIE V7) it's back to GBP (the default) again, but it needs a restart or a reset via the url.

If you put some nonsense such as &currency=ZXY then it'll reset to the default of GBP; so deleting all the currencies except GBP will probably fix the 'problem'. Although I'm a bit nervous about deleting USD as I expect doing so would cause some nasty additional problems.

It's on my list but Google Base is at the top of said list at the moment so currency problems will have to wait.
