Generate New User coupon after first order instead of registration?

Hello,

I currently have a site running 1.2.7 that automatically sends out a coupon upon registration. In the coupon text, it says that the coupon is only valid on the second order. There is nothing in place to block them from using it on the first order, and many do.

My question is, is there anyway to automatically send out a coupon after the first order is placed by a new customer? Instead of sending the coupon upon registration, I would like to send it upon first order.

At this time there is nothing built into Zen Cart to manage this type of exclusion on the first order ...

After you make a Discount Coupon ... you can set the Discount Coupon that you want automatically emailed to the customer in the Configuration ... GV Coupons ...

New Signup Discount Coupon ID#
Select the coupon

When you hit Edit there will be a dropdown of all of your Discount Coupon names to pick from ...

This will now be included in the Welcome Email ...

It's a pity. The idea of sending a coupon after the first order is really nice.

Is there a way to set the New Registration Coupon to expire 30 days from Registration?

Set the expiration date for when you want it to expire?

You may wish to have a Discount Coupon builder as technically each day you need a new coupon to increment 1 day ...

This would need customization ... but it can be done ...
