Company Field in Contact Us Form Required?

Hello everyone, new user here

Any hopefully someone can help me with this quick question:

I have the company field on the Contact Us form enabled (true). When creating some test accounts in my shop, it will not let me submit the information without entering the company name. I am pretty sure this isn't supposed to be a required field as it does not have a red asterix next to the field.

Can anyone tell me how to keep the company field enable but only as an optional field?

Company name is not required by default.

Sure, the link is below. I should also note that I haven't modded any files - I have the company field set as "true" in the admin panel which is plain vanilla.

What version you running?

1.3.7 - Upgraded to the latest version last week after my shop sat there unfinished for over a year - I bought the e-start book last week and at this pace, I'll probably be able to open the shop in another year ;-)

Edited to add: I assume by your question you weren't able to proceed without entering a company name, even though the field is not supposed to be required?

go to configuration -> minimum values --> company change it to 0
