I'm stumped!! - fonts and background colors

I have a site I'm populating with content and trying to fine-tune - www.capeinfo.co.za/shop1/ .

I'm struggling most with the CSS. I have changed the font to Tahoma, but it's only changed it in some places. But when I change the line-spacing, that does change.

When you load the site on a slow connection, a blue background comes up first which I think was the blue in the default CSS. Is there a conflict somewhere?

I am battling with the sideboxes. I can't get the green line at the bottom to disappear, and I want to remove all vertical white space between the side boxes.

Try searching your stylesheet for the properties you want to change, so you can see all instances of "font", "background-color" or "background", etc. THen you can change any that are problems. Change one at a time and verify what effect it has - there may be some you don't want to change.

The green lines at the bottom of sideboxes are border-bottom, and spaces are margin-top.

You should get the Firefox Web Developer extension so you can see for yourself what class or id to edit in the stylesheet for a particular element.

Thank you so much! When I loaded the Firefox Web Developer extension I was able to see that another, uncessary, CSS was being called up too and that was causing a conflict. Everything is looking very much better and I can move on.
