strange cookie error message

Hi there,

A customer contacted us because he got the following error: "This session contains invalid information" after clicking the confirm button on the checkout confirmation page.

He determined that his browser was set to not accept cookies, when he accepted cookies he could check out fine.

My question is about that error message - if cookies are the problem wouldn't it say something like "you need to accept cookies...." Is "this session contains invalid information" really the error message for cookie non-accepters? If so, is there somewhere I can change that error message?

That message doesn't come from Zen Cart.

Zen Cart's cookie-warning page can be seen by pointing your browser to http://your_site.com/index.php?main_page=cookie_usage

It is possible that the message came from attempting to access a PayPal page, esp if your site is configured to use URL masking (where the URL in the browser doesn't change even though the page points to someplace else) ... PayPal considers that a security risk and will display the "This session contains invalid data" message.
