the conifguration files are fine....I just literally CAN'T get the database to restore. If I do it via zencart it tells me "database may NOT have been restored correctly"
an if I do it via phpMyAdmin i get errors either stating the database name already exists, access is denied, or errors stating that the tables exist....I never had this problem before

Typical causes of restores failing include mismatched database-engine versions, corrupted backup files, compression problems, security matters, etc.

I'm sure there is some history leading up to your desire to do a restore. Can you please explain the background behind your inquiry?
