Template Monster can answer that best (or should be able to - lol). They have hard-coded that row of links, probably in tpl_header.php, just below the ez-pages section (which they could have used instead and saved coding and made the template more flexible...).

While you are messing around there, you might consider whether you are ever going to use anything but English and US dollars, and if not, remove those selectors. If not useful, they are just misleading distractions.

Thanks for the reply. I'm still working on the site.

On the whole, I have been happy with the look-and-feel of the Template Monster product. I know this goes against the conventional wisdom here a the forum. I might not have purchased the template had I read the TM thread but I am glad that I did buy.

The whole functionality vs. design argument is fine for designers. The look of the site is what drives customers not neat code.

Support is lacking but if you think Zen support is bad, try buying a Flash template and ask for help. You will be told that you must purchase support.

The menu is located in tpl_main_page.php in the templates folder. For anyone else making the same change, don't forget to edit the Site Map.

Currency can be deleted in the tpl_header.php file.

The conventional wisdom here has been that TM templates look great (and can work fine for customers as-is); the argument has been from a functional point of view, that any owner who wants to alter their shop from TM's original has to go wading through the code on their own instead of using the admin functions that are built into the stock ZC.

Personally, that grey on black and grey on charcoal color scheme is very difficult for me to read, at least it is on my laptop. The layout looks good, but the color scheme -- for ME at least -- is hard to read.

I quite agree, though that wasn't the subject of the thread to start with so I didn't bring it up.

A functional point I notice, however, is that in the product listings, the standard product name link to the product info page has not been competely disabled as is usual in TM templates, but it has been dead-ended so that it leads nowhere - really even worse. That should either be restored to full function, or if not practical, completely disabled so as not to annoy customers.

Forgive the late reply. My email notification seems to be out-of-order. (I've changed from "instant" to "daily" notification to see if that option works.

I appreciate the feedback Lesli and Glen. I have followed Glen's advice so far -- the language and currency selectors has been removed. This is one of the best forums I have participated in and I am not looking to antagonize anyone.

As I mentioned the site has not been "revealed" to the client who is on vacation. I expect the color scheme will be an issue. I converted the CSS on my own site at http://www.billedmunds.com/shop and there will be changes on this site as well, I'm sure. There's no middle ground for anyone with this color scheme. It's "love it" or "hate it."

Glen, I am trying to locate the dead Product link you mentioned. Can you be more specific?

    Bill,
You might want to take some of the customer's vacation time to look around the admin section and see what can be done from there without having to work with the php files. Currency and Language, for instance, are controlled in the Tools menu under Layout Boxes Controller.
A lot of Zen-Cart "editing" is actually "flipping a switch" in the admin.
If you do get to a point where you're forced to edit a file, be sure to save it to the theme007 override directory.
    A little help with colors.

The Currency and Language "switches" are not working in the TM template as I discovered on my own site. The site will be maintained largely by me with the client limited to product entry. I don't mind a little code hacking myself but I think the overrides are easily overlooked. I am trying to implement them on this site.

    Thanks,
