Default Can I put a WYSIWYG Editor into a Text Box Attribute?

I am creating a customer zencart-based cart. This is an engraving site offering products like plaques and other engraving services.

I added a text attribute for customers to enter the desired text for engraving, but was wondering if there is a WYSIWYG editor that will work with the attribute widget for the customer to actually choose font/size/style in their submission?

    Thanks in advance.

Was this resolved? I would be very interested n the answer as I need it to have te customer enter a text in his own design to order signs from me.

This is probably not possible (without SIGNIFICANT recoding) and actually has no practical value because the RESULT would be saved as HTML... not as an "image" of what was typed in.

The easiest solution is to provide SWATCHES with each attribute option value, where the swatch is just a graphic showing the typeface(s) offered.

    Thanks!

Basically what I want to offer on my website is that the customer can enter a text and select font and size (as well as bold, italic..)

Any ideas other then drop downs?
Does anybody know a plug in I can refer to that would save the design data and return to zencart?
    Thanks!

You are looking for something similar to a "product designer" feature. This is used by people selling t-shirts, for example, where customers can create their own design - usually via a flash-driven module - and once the design they want is created, it is then possible to "add" the details to their order.

There is no add-on module for zencart that does this, although I do know of an Indian-based chap who has developed such a module for OsCommerce. (Google search for "OsCommerce T-Shirt Designer").

A few years ago when I contacted him to enquire about creating a similar module for zencart, he quoted me quite a high price...
