    Default Shipping -Frustrated

    Hi folks

I have 3 products that come in 3 different sizes.

Product A is a single serving and should have $3 shipipng
Product B is multi and should have $5 shipping
Product C is even larger quantity needs $9 shipping

What I need to do, I think, is this: This example for Product A would be applied to all Products.

Product A has a flat rate of $3 for a single order. If a customer orders more than 1 of Product A, I do not wish for it to add an additional $3, I would rather it add a small fee for each quantity beyond 1.

If I use a flat rate for each product and more than one of each product is ordered, the shipping costs go through the roof. How do I set up shipping to be fair ? I need a minimum for each single quantity per product, and when multiple quantity is ordered beyond the first a fair additional rate to be applied.

If Product A is $3 and one is ordered it should be $3. If quantity of Product A is 2, then I want the initial $3 plus 25 cents per each additional quantity added.

Does this make sense at all ? I have exhausted my feeble brain trying to figure this out.

If anyone has a less intimidating approach please feel free to point me in the right direction. I may be complicating this for lack of knowledge.

    Thank you, much love !

    Hi Kim

the products are health products. 3 flavors, each flavor comes in: single, double, or six pack. One Single pack should be $3 shipping, One double $5 shipipng, one Six Pack $9 shipping. The client wants a flat rate, but I am finding it very difficult to figure out the best way to do it so the client doesn't lose money and customer is not overcharged.

So if i choose 'flat rate' that rate affects every product flavor and every size. I may be over thinking this. Right now I am using the UPS module as low as i can set it, and then i have an attribute set that each prod adds 1lb for each added quantity, but it seems a little high.

I think if i can get the UPS base price down even another dollar, it would be better and maybe add 1/2 a pound to each it would be more fair. I don't know if you can add pounds in .5 increments, and I am not very familiar with adjusting the UPS rates.

Just looking for any input, i have confused myself thinking about this.

    Thank You

Who is going to be used to do the actual shipping?
