New install problems adding product.

Hi, this is my first post, I have an Oscommerce shop on one of my websites but thought I would give Zencart a try this time.

My hosting provider has installed it for me but....

I can't add products and i'm not sure my admin is working properly.

When I log in I get to a page with nothing but a load of links down the side.
I click categories/products and then add a category. I can see this category but there is a note that there are subcategories so products cannot be added. However if I click on the folder icon for that category the next page says ca
tegories none, products none.

Any ideas? Am I missing a vital point somewhere?

When installed did they add the demo products?

A link to the site front end would help

It doesn't seem as if the demo products are there.

The admin panel does not look right to me, all the links are down the left hand side of the page with lots of scrolling needed, is this right?

It's as if the table is screwed.

As the admin is something that you want to protect we can not see it but this sounds as though the install for the admin is either missing files or they are corrupt and there is no stylesheet being loaded with the admin

Are there some files I should try and reinstall?

If you have the same distribution as is installed - reload the admin folder using a good FTP client that will mediate any errors like filezilla (free)
