Removing Demo Data

Greetings,

Is there an easy way to remove all the preinstalled data like products and attributes without having to re-install the code without it?

Also, what is the easiest way to create a striped down version of Zen cart for use as a basic catalog with no prices or buy functions?

From the distribution you can insert the base sql that has no products or if you have customized this install extract just the tables for all the the product related tables.

Also, what is the easiest way to create a striped down version of Zen cart for use as a basic catalog with no prices or buy functions?

Install as normal and in the admin > config > my store > Store Status > select your choice

It is part of the distribution in the zc_install/sql folder and is the mysql_zencart.sql file, and yes you can do this from phpmyadmin.

I have had worse!!

I have no experiance with php and do not have phpmyadmin I do have Dreamweaver and Crimson editor. I am about ready to start added my categories and products and would really like to have all that data I am not going to use out of the way.

Any advice?

Open your Admin and delete the Demo categories. Easy smeazy.
