Adding Additional Fields To A Product

I know this seems like a pedestrian question but I've been unable to find a solution.

Need to add additional fields to a product without using attributes. Fields such as dimensions, country of origin, etc. None of these fields will have any options (example: dimensions = 12feet).

Your first question is: why? The person that will be maintaining the store (the client) needs to have the ability to enter all product information on one page when entering a new product.

Searched the forum and download sections without luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hmm... you're just a couple of weeks late. TheOracle developed such a mod, but that one he didn't upload to the Zen Cart Downloads section. He recently got mad about perceived persecution (mostly due to his misunderstandings and temperament) and shut down his own site.
There may be someone here who has a copy of the mod and would be willing to share it.



An alternative would be to make a product description template that the client could paste into the description window, and then fill in those blanks.

Glenn, thanks for your reply and thanks for filling me in on the oracle's module. I had come across mention of it and never could find it.
