hmmm, I don't understand where to upload the files specifically - this section doesn't make sense to me

2. Upload carefully all files with the right structure. This structure is for template_default -> classic

If you use any custom tamplate just rename "classic" to your tamplate's name.
As for the folder "pc_configurator" which contains 3 files, upload it directly to folder catalog(shop)/includes

Well my friend is this is what you need, I will write instructions from the start so it will be step by step, file by file, where to upload.

Maybe I should do it from the start, but as this versions uploaded are still under development, and there are changes almost every day, I should write instructions from the start every day.

So I will take your though as suggestion and I will write instructions from the start , step by step, file by file and also some checking that users could do, to see if everything is going right.

This is really an issue about instructions, if you are not so familiarized with Zen Cart

1136 Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
in:
[INSERT INTO configuration_group VALUES ('PC Configurator', 'PC Configurator Settings', '9453', '1');]

What is that??

Thank you for your suggestion. You are right. I should do this from the star.

But I have also a general suggestion for all users of this forum.

You can also use PRIVATE MESSAGE for such issues !

Because when someone tries to find something for a trouble, he also finds many other not usefull information he do not need.

So let's help ourselves, and keep this thread UNDERSTANDABLE and usefull for all users.

I will POST here any usefull news and changes for this module. I will also upload the new version when ready.

Just think that something that solved your problem maybe could not solve other user's problems.

Not everyone uses Zen Cart with same templates and files.

There are many users who have made modifications. So contact me directly and I will solve your problem. Then I will POST what needed here.

Also do not forget that this way you help yourself, all other users and development of this module.

I think a limit of 20 pages for this thread is OK.

Would not help nobody if it reaches 100 pages !!!

Please understand that this is not a general discusion forum. It is a specific thread for module PC Configurator.

thanks for the valuable inputs on teh Configurator. I am surely goona be using it (if I get it installed right!!). Followed your install text, but came up with a problem.
Under the 'custom pc' link on the live website I get the following:
Custom PC
Desktop Computers created from customers by using PC Configurator.
You can select to buy one of these Computers or configure one by yourself based on your needs by pressing HERE...

However the link it refers to is totally wrong...

this links to nowhere...how can i fix this?

All links worked for me. In the next version I will not use this way to produce links, but Zen Cart's way.
