Gift certificate says it's redeemed -but it's not!

The customer got this error:
The Gift Certificate number xxxxxxxx may be invalid or has already been redeemed.

That coupon says it's redeemed:

Senders ID: 460
Amount Sent: $100.00
Date Sent: 06/12/2007
Redemption Code: xxxxxxxx
Email Addr: foofoo######################

Date Redeemed: 06/27/2007
IP Address: xx.xx.xx.xx
Customer Id: 510

And customer id 510 and email address all match to this person. But I have no sales on 6/27! I checked the sales on either side and no coupon redemptions going on. Where did this money go? The lovely lady who bought this gift certificate bought 2 more which have not been redeemed yet. I am a bit concerned. I went ahead and sent this customer a gift certificate, seeing as there doesn't appear to be any way to get at his rightful money!

What version of Zen Cart are you running?

Okay, customer 510 has the money (and an extra $100 due to the gift certificate I sent). Now I know where to get at this, I suppose I can just clear out the cash and send them the item.

Okay, got around it. I got the syntax and told them to order and pay by check (and not send the check).

So I took away the money in that table manually. It's gone, correct? No one will be able to use that coupon?

And I am guessing you're going to say if I upgrade, this will go away? I have 2 other outstanding gift certificates.

I would upgrade ... there are numerous issues in v1.3.5 that you really don't want to have that version on a Live shop ...

v1.3.7.1 is much more secure ...

I recommend upgrading a copy of your site in something like:
/new_shop

With a copy of your database something like:
v1371

And practice the upgrade ...

There are numerous threads if you search over the last year or so for:
/new_shop

with a great amount of detail on the steps to upgrading ...

Backup both your site and database before attempting any kind of upgrade ...

If the money for that GV is removed manually and that coupon_code is marked in the table:
coupons

As coupon_active N ... then it cannot be used again ...
