I've searched the forums and elsewhere for an answer on this topic, but I could not come up with one.

Can you add multiple products to the database using a mySQL query or queries? I wrote one with no errors that only updated one table, products, but that product did not show up in the administration pages or on the web.

I figure there's some other attribute, process or method I'm missing. But is there a way to emulate the Add Product function in admin with mySQL queries to aid automation?

I would appreciate comment on this issue very much, Zen community.
