I'm not sure that I understand the question. I'll answer both the possibilities that I see.

If you mean that you have changed the Admin itself, should you create an over-ride file, then the answer is no, the over-ride system does not yet apply to the Admin.

If you mean that you have used the Admin to change the functionality or appearance of your catalog (shop front) then no, standard changes made through the Admin don't need over-rides.

So, the answer's looking like no, unless you meant something completely different again!
