Arranging Product Listings by rows

My product listings are in columns, image on left, title on right; that's a considerable waste of space, and not terribly attractive. (Also, images "jam" against each other vertically, even less attractive). I want viewers to open a category and see thumbnails, preferably with titles, arranged say four to a row, and use those as "gateways" to product info pages.

Subcategories arrange this way, but do products in listings?

Okay, I've figured out that ZenCart constructs a table on the fly, with each product listing item in its own row and cell. Modifying how that table is constructed is beyond my miserable expertise, however.

I've seen plenty of online catalogs with multiple products arranged across a page, though; doesn't anyone know how this is done?

Guess I have to settle for product listings in one stupid-looking column...at least until I can afford to buy a real shopping cart program.

Aren't you being a bit hasty, assuming there is no possible answer after 8 hours? Nobody here is paid to sit on the forum and answer everything as soon as it is posted.

Get the Column Layout Grid mod in Downloads. It is made to do exactly what you want, and used by multitudes of Zenners. I expect it will join the core eventually as it is such a commonly-used and relatively simple option.

You're right, I'm being hasty. I comes from being up until 2:30 am trying to figure this thing out, and plowing through it all day today, too. I'm a little burnt out, but that's not excuse for bad manners.

Yes, that is a tool. Works better than a monkey wrench, more fun than a Dremel.
