Urgent! unable to login both customer and admin

Hi

Need help

Our shop has been online for several years without problem and
now suddenly noone can login, no customer nor admin.

The site looks okey besides this so there is still access to the database.
We are running zc 1.2.6 and mysql 4.1.20.

The databses are still there fully loaded with data so nothing has been erased.

any ideas?

Im sorry to say but now its working again.
What can have caused this?

I contaced the hosting company and they said that thay havent changed anything to cause the problem but I wonder...

Any error messages at the time?

On occaision, just closing the browsers can correct some very odd issues ...

I had a similar problem wherein suddenly I could not login to my admin and customers could neither create an account nor login to their accounts. This happened after I had upgraded by fedora server from core 6 to 7.

After searching for several hours on the forums and looking at log files on the server I found what the problem was. The PHP on the server had been upgraded to version 5.2.2. The bug is in the new PHP.

Things like that really scare me. Host will just update the server and give no care to whether if it will stop the sites from working. I had it happen to me too and this was from a Zen sponsored web host! Luckily someone posted a solution.
