    Default Moving Domains

Right now my storefront is in a subdomain and i want to move it to a top level domain. Can I do this while retaining database integrity? I also have SSL. What is the best route to take with this?

I just did something similar to this.

First: Thru my FTP I moved every file from the subdomain to my hard drive for backup!

Then: Make sure your top level domain is in place on the host server.

    BACKUP your DB!!!

With your FTP move your subdomain files to the domain (top level)!

Make sure your config files match once you are done moving everything.

    You should be ok!

    Good luck.

In case I'm wrong (it worked for me, but I may have been lucky!), you've got the backup to restore.

Forgot to mention there was no SSL involved in what I did.
