In desperate need of help

Hello I am desperately trying to set up a new store and I want to use zen cart. I have it installed and all but I was wondering if it's possible to somehow allow for a membership type of product for the site as well. And how to set that up...
Most of the items in my store will be download pdf's and images etc. and I was wanting to offer the option that for 39 dollars a year you could download any items on the site for the entire year for that one price. And then if they didn't want to be a member to just purchase the individual items. Can someone please help me I'm going nuts trying to figure this one out. Thanks so much!

Have you experimented with the Group Discount?

If you purchase products_id XX you get added to the 100% discount Group?

Not sure if that would work how you are trying to get this to go but might be worth a shot ...
