Default Help..I am very confused

I have been trying for two days now to figure out how to geet rid of the Tag Line and "Congratulations..." info. I am confuded about what the custom folder is. Is that one that I create, adn if so where does it go? Everytime I try to make a change to these items it messes up the page and just leaves things looking like this "Header_Alt_Text". I am not computer illiterate, but I realyl need help here. Thanks, Warmhgg

THanks for the info, but the problem is I can't get it to work. I follow the directions and everytime it comes up wrong. What is it I am missing. It seems so simply yet i can't get it to work.

Thanks again,

Yes, your custom template is something you create.

To create a very basic custom template (you can build from there), you need:
• includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php
• includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php
• includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/header.php (to change the logo)
• includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php
• includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php
• includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer.php
• includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images/logo.gif
• includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css

Any where you see a /classic/ folder, you can create a folder for your custom template. Copy the files you need from /classic/, /template_default/ or the parent directory.

Edit includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php to give your template identifying info (you'll understand when you open the file).

Always use a text editor like Notepad or Crimson Editor to edit php files.

Once you've built your template, go into your admin under tools->template selection and select it from the pull down menu.

THANK YOU!!! This was very helpful, but i am still running into trouble with the changing of the "Congratulations" file, and the "Tag line". Do you have the patience to walk me through that??

Thanks again,
