Default New SSL cert not recognized

I'm running 1.2.6d on my Linux host. Following Goh Koon Hoek's eStart...Zen Cart book (pretty good book) , page 368-369, I have edited the configure.php files in /includes and admin/includes to make sure the www that is on the certificate is also in the URL's in the config files and the ENABLE's are all set to true. I get the "There is a problem with this website's security certificate." warning page when checking out. Does this mean the certificate is not installed properly -- my host says it is.

Note - I had to chmod both configure.php files to 400 to get rid of "Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file ..... please set the right user permissions on this file."

Thought it best to ask here first before submitting a help ticket with the host - thanks.

Depending on your browser you should be able to right click or double click on the broken lock and get more detail as to the problem with the Cert. More than likely it is not installed correctly.

It would also be a very good idea to upgrade to the latest version (1.3.7.1) of Zen Cart as documented here.

If there is a URL to look at then lets see if its as simple as running the google analytics code or a hard coded image

The URL is boxandbowgifts.com. BTW I will be upgrading when I have fixed this pesky problem.

this one was easy to diagnose,
if you bought a new cert recently,
your host is going to have to totally wipe the old cert and install the new one,
making sure that they have saved the rsa-key and the csr for later use

the error in question is because it expired last november
second error is a name mismatch

your site has https://www.yoursite and the certificate that was expired is looking for https://yoursite

My host is now on the case. I ordered the SSL thru them so its their problem. Their last message says the SSL problem is fixed but noooo ... instead they have managed to lock me out of access to Zencart admin area for this account. Aaaargh!

I appreciate the help given here - thanks. I'll slog it out with the host.
