Default migrating database to new shop

    Hello,
I have installed a brand new cart, current version, in a different directory than my main store. I've loaded the contributions I want. I now want to bring in my database from the REAL cart. However, that cart is an older version with a mishmash of contributions, etc. Is it possible (or advisable) to bring over ONLY the products, customers and orders, etc? In other words, all the actual activity on the cart? Any advise would be appreciated!

Yes, you can selectively do this but insure that you grab all the pertinent tables...

Better would have been to apply the old DB to the new install and upgrade it then customize it. But this will also work.

You will have to tun zc_install and upgrade the DB only after you do this.

I thought about using the old database, but it is a live shop and I knew it would change before I got the new shop ready. How can I know what tables I need to grab? Is that posted here in the FAQ's or somewhere?
    Thanks!

Okay, I have been very carefully bringing over the tables that seemed necessary (I hope), and all is showing up well except for the customer table. I am getting the following error when trying to view the customers:

1054 Unknown column 'customers_info_source_id' in 'field list'
    in:
    [select customers_info_source_id from customers_info where customers_info_id = '246']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Can anyone advise what I should do about this?

    Did you re-run zc_install?

Okay, I'm probably brain dead at this point, and I could use some fresh ears and thoughts to get me through this.

    Here's the scenario:
    - I have an existing live shop, version 1.3 something...
    - I just 1.37 in a new directory, added some contributions. I opted for a fresh install because the existing shop is full of old contributions and MESS I want to clear out.
    - I need to migrate the existing live database over to the new folder for final testing. This is where I am getting stumped.

Can someone explain very simply how I can do this while I still have a hair or two left?

I have read the upgrade instructions and I'm just not getting it, or my situation is different??
    Thank you!
