Page with many attributes loading slow

I have a page that will have 6 option names with about 50 values added to each of them at the moment I only have 4 of the names set up on the page and it already takes 10-15 seconds to load.... Is this just to be expected with this many choices as the Cart/Server has alot to "chew on"?

One idea that comes to mind is to use checkboxes for the bulbs rather than sets of dropdowns ...

While checkboxes cannot be tested at this time, you would only need one set and the customer can check off what they need and how many before adding to the cart ...

Thanks I think I will just split the bulbs between two pages... I like the drop downs cause it forces people to make the right choices to make the shipping work right with little to no interaction on our part and should limit customer mistakes but yet gives them the options they need.

I am going to split the VHO bulbs on one and T5 bulbs on another, more I think about it it has been very rare for a customer to mix and match the two styles and can be worked around when needed

Ajeh - I just reread your post... is there a way to put a number field with the checkbox... some people may want 3 of the same bulb and 1 of two others for instance

Not at this time ...

You could tell it not to go to the shopping cart when adding products that way they can sit on the same product page and re-add ...

Can I do it for just this one item, if so I must be overlooking it? Also by doing this it will just add each check as a new item to the cart not as one big one correct?

I added one wth the checkboxes to try and will toy with it and the above option again tonight.
