    Default language question

    hi!

I have a question about changing language, since my language, croatian, is not translated yet.

where can I change the box headers that appear on every page: categories, new products, featured, information, sponsors, search, have you seen..., bestsellers, specials, languages, currencies, who's online

I guess that I have alot of work to do!!

The same place you translate everything else ... in the languages files inside the language directory.

    admin - includes - languages,
editors - html area - lang,

You copy the includes/languages/english.php file and includes/languages/english and includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english folders and to croatian equivalents and replace the English in the right had side of define statement and on each button with Croatian equivalents. The approach is straightforward, but there's a lot to be translated.

Technically it doesn't matter which order you do them in, because they all have to be done. But psychologically, that's the biggest file by a long way, and once you've done it, you are well on your way, so I'd start it while your enthusiasm and energy is high.

Yes you understand correctly what needs to be changed and have correctly kept the important apostrophes.

Not so fast. When you've done translating the english.php file into your croatian.php file most of the words that your customers see will be in Croatian, but there will still be words in English until you have translated all the files in the languages/english folder.

Yes the buttons are just gif images and can be amended in Photoshop.
