header background picture

hi! my header background picture is not showing right - it is too big and about 1/3 of the picute is not showing.

can someone please tell me the right dimensions of that gif, so I can check if I made a mistake in redimensionating my header picture.

We would need a URL to the site to be able to see the size of your gif. But your problem is most likely that the height of your #logoWrapper in your stylesheet is less that the height of your gif. You don't have to make the gif smaller to fit, you can increase the height of #logoWrapper instead.

You gif has dinensions 760 x 110 px, but your #logoWrapper has a height of just 75px (line 198 of your stylesheet). So you need to either make your image smaller, or your #logoWrapper taller.

before I start messing with logo wrappers, tell me in which directory is the background of the heading, so I will just replace it with my picture.

You background image is currently /includes/templates/classic/images/header_bg.jpg though using the classic directory for your site is not a good idea as your changes will be over-written when you next upgrade your Zen Cart.

I realise that.
this is off topic, but I translated all the files in includes/landuages from english to croatian, so when the next update will be out, I see that I'm in truobble !!! :blink: I see myself translating for a week again :wacko:

Don't worry, your translations are safe (unless the Zen Cart team are planning to start including Croatian translations with core Zen Cart :laugh:).

This is because all your language files named or located in places where the Zen Cart don't go. It's any changed you make to your template, such as in your stylesheet that are at risk. What you need to do is:
re-name any and all directories called "classic" to something else,
edit your classic/template_info to give your template a new name,
go to Admin > Tools > Template Selection and choose your new template and
go to Admin > Tools > Layout Box Controller and re-select your sideboxes.

Then you're bulletproof.

On your translation, I'm hoping that you will package it up and submit it to the downloads section. That would certainly keep it safe! Or if you wanted, you could zip up the files and send them to me and I would be happy to package it up for you.

are you sure about the translations? that is great news! :clap:
i just traslated all the define words to croatian. the translation is about 90% made, I didn't translate all the payment methods and all the shipping methods, cause I don't need them, so why waste my time :smile:
I would send them to you, but as I said, the translation is not complete. :wink:
