I have been reading many threads about customizing zen cart but I can't make it to work. I have a CSS based template ready for use. What are the steps to integrate it in Zen Cart.

I want:
- the index page to reflect the custom template.
- the header + top navigation bar to be the same for other pages
- custom buttons (that can be done later)
