Ups/usps

I know this subject has been beaten to death but no matter what info on here and at the osc site I cannot get these two modules too work.

I recently switched over to ZenCart from osc and I love it. Much easier to set up and get around etc. But I still have the same issue with the shipping modules.

Just cannot get quotes no matter what I try

I have an account at both UPS and USPS. With UPS as I understand if you're shipping from the US you do not need an account. So it should work as I ship from Tampa, FL and the ZIP code is set as is the State in the config. Still no quote available

Now for USPS I have an account there also. I also had contacted them to get moved over to the production server with success and received my webID. However yet again I cannot get it too work. No quotes available. I've tried test, production and staging to no avail.

I am using the most recent download of Zen zen-cart-v1.3.7.1-full-patched-07052007.zip

I am drop shipping and the supplier uses only UPS for within the US and USPS Express Mail International to ship to Canada. If I cannot get these modules too work is there an easy way I could setup either Zone rates or Table rates to reflect what the UPS and USPS charges would be? At least as close as possible?

I just really don't want to end up over charging for shipping and obviously I don't want to end up under charging either.

I'm stumped

Do you have Zones set on these?

Are they set correctly?

If you set the Zones to None to test, do they work?

I have the Zones set to None at the moment. Only other option it gives me is Florida and if I set to that then any address outside Florida it will say sorry no shipping option available.

What is your 5 digit Zip code that you have setup for your site in the Shipping/Packaging ...

The ZIP I have is 33610

I am actually trying something now. I've gone from a free host (mistake I know :S ) to a paid host that also supports curl which I found the free host I was on didn't support. They have ZenCart 1.3.7 in their auto install area of the control panel. So I am going to try that out and see if anything changes.

Note: there is a new USPS module for Zen Cart for the new rates ... this is in the current release of v1.3.7.1 ...

Ok I installed ZenCart 1.3.7 using my paid webhosts auto installer from the cpanel. After install I updated the USPS module with the May14th update. Now everything is working perfectly. I am even using the production server for USPS. :)

So now I have both UPS and USPS working just fine. Guess it was in the host.

I think I am going to really enjoy Zen

Nothing really wrong with the host ...

Zen Cart v1.3.7 does not contain the files in Zen Cart v1.3.7.1 so you were missing that update and others as you appear to have only added the 1 change vs upgrade to v1.3.7.1 to include everything that was fixed ...

hint, hint ... upgrading is a good idea ...
