Default Page created not on Admin. Define Page Status

The link is on all web pages, just not on the admin.

While I have you here The "General Information" link works, goes to the right page, but the text I wrote is not there. What gives?

Okay...I added a link in the "Information" sidebox. Everything works (i.e., the link goes to a newly created page). It's on this new page that the text I created for it isn't showing up. Just a blank page with the "Back" button, title, etc. on it.

    Default Rats!!!!

I forgot to add the second part of the question.

After adding the "General Information" page on the "Information" sidebar, I checked the "Define Page Status" in Admin., but it's not there. Does that make sense?

Assuming you cloned something like page_2 ... did you set up a define for the page also, something like:
    DEFINE_PAGE_2_STATUS

And did you set its value to 1? Otherwise if not defined the value is 0 or OFF ...

Also, on the define page file in the:
    /includes/languages/english/html_includes

Did you place a file there AND in your templates and overrides directory?
    /includes/languages/english/html_includes/your_template_dir

Otherwise there isn't anything to override in order to display something ...

Default Re: Page created not on Admin. Define Page Status

To create the page I followed the instructions of a person who was trying to do the same as me. They had a numbered list of steps. Unfortunately, I can't remember who posted it or where I found it. I don't know if their information was a clone.

Where would the overrides directory be. I don't think I put one in there.

Am I understanding correctly that I need to put three files in:

"...on the define page file in the:
    /includes/languages/english/html_includes"

"Did you place a file there AND in your templates and overrides directory?
    /includes/languages/english/html_includes/your_template_dir"

You need to clone all of the pages such as:
    page_2

uses ... if you do a search in the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... for:
    page_2

You should see all the files that you need to create ...

    NOTE: that the directory:
    /includes/modules/pages/page_2

has a file in it that also needs to be cloned and updated for the:
    header_php.php

    Default Help?

Just a blank page with the "Back" button, title, etc. on it. After adding the "General Information" link on the "Information" sidebar, I checked the Admin>Catalog>Define Page Status, but there is no mention of the General Information page I just cerated so cannot turn it on or off. Does that make sense? I cloned the page, but still have the problem, gad-zooks! I am in a pickle! If anyone can help, please let me know.
