I have a Games Software client that would like to enables customers to pay for goods in the normal way but also take pre-orders for products that haven't yet been launched.

They wish to use Protx as the Payment Gateway.

They would like to take the credit card details within the Payment Gateway for the pre-orders but not actually take the money until a later date.

How can I setup ZenCart so that the pre-orders use the 'Authenticate Authorise' option (so that the money is not immediately taken), but then allow other normal orders to use the 'Immediate Charge' option?

Do I need to create 2 Protx Payment Methods within the Payment Modules?

I assume I would need to add some code that prevented a customer from choosing the 'Authenticate Authorise' option for products that are ready to be immediately shipped/downloaded?
