    Default Warning Message

Hi. I am receiving a warning on my website and I'm unsure of why.

    Message:
    Code:
Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/silveren/public_html/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

You're getting it for exactly the reasons it say, your Zen Cart believes that your /home/silveren/public_html/includes/configure.php doesn't have the right permissions (644 or 444 depending upon your web hosts configuration). This is a security risk.

How would I go about changing this?

That would depend on whether your Zen Cart is hosted on your local PC or on a hosted server, on whether it is Windows or Linux, and if remote, on how your web host allows you to change it. Sometimes it's possible to change permissions using facilities built in to your FTP program, other times web hosts insist that you login to your hosting control panel and change it from there.

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
