SSL Link to Tell a Friend Page and Send in HTML

1) How can you make the "Tell a Friend" button link to index.php?main_page=tell_a_friend in SSL?

2) Is there any way to send a [/FONT][FONT=Trebuchet MS]"Tell a Friend" e-mail in HTML, like the "Welcome E-mail"?
