Changing Center Boxs

Hey. I was wondering how I can easily, or not so easily change the center boxs on the front page of my zencart site.

At the minute their is the welcome message, new products, featured and monthly specials.

I would preferably like to change this to Welcome Message and News. But in the 'layout boxs controller' you cannot manage the center boxs for the homepage?

Have a look at the Admin> Configuration> Index Listing for the Featured, Specials and New controls.
