HTML Editor, HELP? Resolutions?

I am currently running a fresh install of Zen Cart 1.3.7.1
When changing the HTML editor type from Plain Text to HTMLArea, I go to a product page and it is still in Plain Text mode, even though the configuration still says it should be using HTMLArea. I've even installed FCKEditor plugin and selected that editor and nothing happens. Is there some sort of fix that I can't seem to find in the forums? I'd imagine the HTML editor should work on a fresh install, shouldn't it?

I'm open to correction, but I don't believe that the HTML editors are supposed to be used on the product pages. Do they work for your newsletters, EZ-Pages and Define Pages?

I used FCKeditor with 1.3.5 and it definitely worked on the product pages. It saved my ######## because some features don't work correctly with HTMLarea on the Mac.

On another note, it only says it's compatible with 1.3.5 so now I'm a bit concerned. Is it future compatible?
