Any ideas why the main content of my site is wider in firefox than in internet explorer? I am judging the width using the borders down the sides...
Many Thanks

Hi Jade,
ideally i need the background of the main page to be a fixed width. I know this will result is problems with larger fonts but its a sacrifice im willing to make if I have to...
If you look at the footer image on my site through both ie a fx you will see the problem its causing. My header image also needs to be the same size as the border on the main page so I am now thinking am I gonna have to create a fixed size background image for the main content as well?
Cheers

Well, the template was designed with a "narrow header version" which gives you the borders on the header, without having to put faux borders right onto the logo. Then the logo could be centered, and if the site got a teeny bit bigger in another browser, it wouldn't matter, because it would just have a little more white space on either side in IE.
As for the footer, you could use just a solid blue, or upload a bigger image, then it would enlarge as the site enlarges, just like my headerborder.gif (grey stripe image) does on my test site http://www.applezen.sagefish.com
Hiya
Again you've delivered! those solutions went down a treat. Will take your advise on the header and footer
Many Thanks again Jade
